    Head light lens

Has any one replaced the clear lens on the headlight assembly (XBC 5015 (33/23) LNZ on a RRS 2006?
I can see lenses available for 2010 on, but not for earlier.

Any info on sourcing the part and feasibility of replacing the lens apreciated

I believe the headlight unit is sold as a complete assembly, though with care the polycarbonate clear front can be removed and "reglued" when putting back in.

My lights have suffered severe UV damage and need replacement - it is not the dulling that occurs with some headlights but has internal cracks like you find in old perspex that has been out in the sun too long.

So I would like to say someone that I am wrong and that I can buy the clear polycarbonate covers but I dont think so.

    Wink Head Lights

Mine went off on my 2011 RRS, fixed for a while with Maguire's headlight refurbishing kit.
Headlight replacements are eye wateringly expensive (I don't think that LR do just the lens from my research) plus my old one was due for a timing belt replacement, new car best fix!
Gave up and just bought a new TDV6 SE L494.

Headlights and Heaters in Abbotsford VIC will do them if you take off the car, they seal with UV protectant too.

    About $300 i think.

I am in the same boat, paid some guy from New way enterprises and he did a quick fix, but still shoit.

Hi Garry, I had a detailer clean my lenses about a year ago and then bought some covers from Rimmers in the UK. Lenses are still as good as the day they were cleaned

Thanks Marty - no amount of polishing and cleaning will fix my covers as the polycarbonate has internal cracks in the material. I looked on the Rimmers site but no covers come up - do you have a link by any chance.

    Cheers

    Hi Garry,
I have had a look on the Rimmers site this morning and you are right I can't find them now either, they might still have them, not just have them on their web page. I have found contacting them sometimes beneficial, they have stuff available that isn't on the web page. I had a bit of a scout around and found a couple or three places in the US that sell them, Carid was one of them however these were tinted, not sure if you want clear or not.

I was looking to replace my own they have got a couple of stone chip "stars" in them so they must be doing something good.

    Cheers Marty

    Hi guys,
Is anyone interested in purchasing some replacement headlight lenses for MY10 range Rover sport, or Similar? My are toast, I have a company in Melbourne who will also replace them for me or us.

I'm awaiting prices, estimating 300 AUD

Let me know if there is interest.

    Jeremy
