    As examples.
ie. I order the oil for my engine, I don't get it off the shelf, and Slunnie mentioned that the TD5 is ok with oils from 0W30 to 10w-60, is there a range of oil weights specced for the RRS V8 engine and not just the 5w-20?

You need to read "Td5" in the context that it was written Eevo.

    Ford US oil specs.
The US market has been successfully using xW-20 oils for years.
All manufactures there specify it for their petrol engines.

Had the same issue with the D4 SC re 5w20 availability.

I rang the dealer who cited LR specs which said 5w20 while under warranty then 5w30 afterwards.

So I use 5w30 Edge now.
