    New RRS owner

Hi everyone, I've just taken the keys to a 2009 TDV8 Lux and it didn't come with a jack or any of the other tools. Where would I go to buy replacement ones around the Mornington Peninsula area that isn't going to break the bank? Also could anyone recommend an affordable mechanic in the area as well. Thanks in advance and expect a lot more questions over the coming weeks and please be patient with me, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to cars.
    Cheers

Try contacting a wrecker like TRS spares in Adelaide or British Offroad in Sunshine Coast or any of the larger 4wd wreckers.

Welcome to the forum - just to cover off - you have looked under the false floor in the boot area? Also have you looked in the storage area under the rear seat base?

Congrats Travis, but there are rules. You have to post a pic.

    The tdv8 3.6 with the ZF 6 speed is a very nice combination. I have a my08 L322.

As indicated have a look around the spare tyre. You should see where the scissor jack is supposed to be. I replaced mine with a bottle jack (with right Min & max height range) and square of wood.
    L322 tdv8 poverty pack - wow

There's storage under the rear seat? Never thought to look there.

The area under the false floor in the boot is empty except for the keys to remove the tow bar.

I've managed to find a full set at a wreckers for $280, is that a fair price?

Pull the little tags at the back of the rear bases and pull up and forward as if you were going to fold the rear seats down - there is full width storage there. Word of caution though - if you do store anything there make sure it is not going to high enough to touch the seats backs when they are folded down and the weight will cause indentations in the seat back leather.

I keep my tow bar there, tyre plugs, spare bulbs, jumper leads etc there - things that I might need but will not use one a day to day basis.
