    Bolt on battery terminal

I have tried searching, but there doesnt seem to be a specific detail on any post.

I am putting in a positive feed from a spare spot on my positive battery terminal, but cannot seem to find an M8 bolt that is short enough. The smallest i have found is 16mm long, but even that seems too long.

What does everyone use, and where do you get it?

Vice grips? Thin piece of ply with a hole drilled in it with the bolt fed from underneath held down on a bench?

My RRS is a 2.7 so may have a different arrangement to you. I just used the bolt that is already there that secures one of the main +ive cables.

    Standard arrangement

Now with my additional power cable attached

I used a longer bolt with an extra nut on my negative terminal clamp which would also work on the positive terminal clamp.

I was hoping to use the one that is empty there - I bought a M8 nut and washer so will try that, it's a bit crazy around here at the moment, so still havent got to it yet
