It’s the little things…Picking this up for Christmas

Whilst the little lady was working I went to the car park and fitted the recently arrived Wind deflectors.

06:30 Today I get a call…. “Low coolant warning. I’ve pulled over near the lookout”

Head up there to find the expected!

Glad it didn’t do this on my way from Brisbane Picking this up for Christmas

Well, as timing would have it (I do run a Mining Supply Chain) I’ve prepared for the new vehicles arrival with a heap of service items.

Today the coolant outlet arrived Picking this up for Christmas

First job though was a quick replacement of the bonnet gas struts as it hurts when that clamshell hits your head!

    Then onto the show!

Leaking at the seam on the top left.

    All done

    Quick bleed and back running…

Will do a complete flush, drain and new Penrite Blue on Aussie Day. I also have new brass bleed screws to replace the plastic ones and a nice anodised bleeder for the bottle.

I changed the wheels on the D4 from 17" back to the OEM 18's,both alloy, and she didnt notice,i told her about a month later.

But she did notice the tune, came and said, gee that car seems to have some power.

You were lucky with that coolant leak.

Planning ahead pays dividends. One of the things I’m checking on during my Aussie day too…

How long do you think it’ll take for her to notice the grey badging has changed to gloss black? 🤣

Added one of these to at least get BT audio function.

Does a pretty good job until we replace the head unit.
