    Oh no! Another tyre question!!!!

So my new RRS will come with 275/40/R20 tyres on it. They are OK and there is no hurry to change them but I've been looking at Scorpion AT+ tyres which I had on my Disco 3.
But they only seem to be available in 275/55/R20 - is that likely to be an issue?
I believe my spare is a 19" spacesaver, but am yet to confirm that.
I really don't want to go and buy new rims if I can avoid it, so are the 55 tryres going to be ok, or will some other size fit where I can use Scorpions?
Or, dare I ask, what other options are there for 70% on road 30% off road rocky/rough dry tracks driving?

255/55R20 would be a better size fit-wise but they tend to be quite expensive and aren't much of an improvement on 255/50R20 or 265/50R20 for which there are more options. My brother runs 265/50R20 on his TDV8 L320 but would like more sidewall. 275/55R20 didn't acceptably fit his MY08 RRS.

After running a couple of sets of 275/55R20 on my L322 including the AT+ which I concluded were too large, I bought 19" D4 rims and fitted 255/60R19 GG AT3 for their higher 113 load index and more sidewall yet fit both the arches and in the spare wheel well. They weren't expensive and are rugged enough for what I regularly dish out. They have quite an open tread compared with some ATs too. Use D4 19" not the wider RRS 19" for 255/60 tyres.

    Hi mate

You’ll get quite a bit of rubbing with that size. The RRS 320 is a bit tighter than a D3.

    30.5” will fit fine…

on that basis, 275/50/20 would be a goer? or possibly 285/50/20 but maybe too wide?

Wide looks nice, it will increase fuel burn and wet weather isnt as nice at speed on highways either.

I'll DM you once i find the pics I want to share with you.
