    Johnson Rods

Has anyone fitted the Johnson rods or similar to achieve a reasonable lift?
    Are they legal in Australia?
If so what size tyre was able to be fitted without modifying inner wheel guards.
Any other recommendations to achieve similar?

Buy a Gap tool and use it to adjust heights.

How much adjustment can you get with the Gap tool. Can you set all levels up say 25 -30mm including the access and do not want to max out the bag

You can use the full rang of the suspension and either change the baseline height or program the preset heights.

    Thanks Loanranger.
I might call around to a few shops to see if they have the GapTool or other to adjust the suspension then.
I have a Vident scan tool that is fine for most other code reading but didnt want to spend another 1K on a tool for just that.
Sounds like you have already gone down this path on your vehicle. How much did you raise the vehicle by and what size tyres /rims are you running.
I think I am stuck with the 20 rims due to the brake calipers.

Remember if you want to keep mobile if there is an issue, you need to limit the diameter of the tyre you fit so that wheels can still turn if you go to the bump stops.

My D3 can extend nearly 70mm total. The GAP tool allows me +25mm front and +35mm rear, so hardly the full range of the suspension.
Not that I'd want to, but in theory LLAMS allows you much more freedom than just changing the offsets in the GAP. Qualification, I have a GAP and don't have LLAMS (but I understand how it works). Rods would allow much the same.
