Relining the card is a common job for a motor trimmer.
The roof card can be removed/replaced as a DIY exercise. The challenge is then to get it to the trimmer. I transported it on the roof bars. I spent a deal of time separating the lining and the hardened glue from the card before taking it to the motor trimmer. Trimmers have access to a variety of lining material and can generally find something close to the original....

SupporterIf your up for it, here is a detailed guide with pictures of a complete head lining replacement. Note, this is for a D1 or D2. they had the raised rear section.
Similar for yours, I've done it twice, tricky by yourself, but not hard to do.
