As per title really, will one Fit from a 3ltr l320 physically? Seeing that it’s a 6hp And electrically with the correct loom from same vehicle If so……
are prop-shafts the same, flywheels and mounts.
iv seen Rocky Mountain do a conversion kit but seems a bit vague.
cheers. ?
The kits from Rocky Mountain British are specific for the 5.0L V8's as they need the custom flexplate, not needed for the diesels.
You need an 8HP70 from a 4.4 TDV8, ideally from an L322, one from an early L405 or L494 could be made to work but it's a bit more complicated.
Needs to come from a 4.4 because the 3.0 has a different bellhousing pattern. The torque converter from the 4.4 bolts straight up, transfer case is also a straight swap.
You need to find a complete centre console top from a RHD 2012-2013MY Euro5 L320, which basically means the from the UK only.

With the rotary dial shifter, and the wiring harness for the console top.
Wiring modifications in the centre console and to the transmission itself, the connector at the transmission is physically different, and different connections from the TCM to the body. If you could find a complete transmission harness from the Euro5 2012-2013 it might be a little easier.
Additional considerations; if you want paddle shift you'll need a different steering wheel with the paddles.
The diff ratios are not the same between 6 & 8 speed, but we can correct for this in the transmission tune, so you don't need to change the diffs.
Will need a custom tune file in the transmission, some changes in the CCF, and update the IPC software to 2012-2013 version.
Should also add the cable assembly for the emergency park release.
