It can cause your stereo controls to cease to work as well. But if they are telling the dealer to replace you may as well let them.

So it's a Service Action now. It's quite a common replacement for various reasons (radio controls as above but also cruise control issues).

Well done,
Just checked and it covers my vehicle.
With 6 months warranty left I'll be getting this on the service list straight away.

I had this fault a few years back.
It took 3 visits to determine the fault

This service action is now applicable to AUS.

Had mine in having some work done the other day.
This issue was fixed under warranty with no questions asked.
