2003 model L322 gear box change down.

Having recently acquired one of these beauties (diesel)_ I now find the gear box extremely touchy. Cruising in top I find the slightest touch of the accelerator causes the gearbox to kick down sometimes as low as 3rd. It doesn't like pulling in top gear much at all. Is this point adjustable or reprogramable so it holds longer in top gear? Jim

    Do you mean a 2003? A '93 would be a P38 I reckon (maybe a classic even).

How many Kms? LR initially said they were a "sealed for life" gearbox, but this turns out not to be the case.

I had my 03 L322's auto oil changed at 130K and it came out black. Changes have been better since the oil change, but I was not having any issues with it changing down too easily.

Remember the gearbox's are adaptive so if you give it some then drive slow it'll stay with sharp shifts until it re-adjusts itself. Pat
