    You bastard Andrew,

and I mean that in the nicest possible way .

I'll cancel my bid engine for the bullbar but only if you'll promise me that you'll do me a good deal on modifying and mounting the next one that comes up on eBay. They don't come up often!

Should look a very nice piece of work when it's done.

Glad you're starting to see some progress with the engine woes. I found it rather weird that the L322 has two fuel pumps. A mate of mine got caught out by the inept dealer thing when they replaced the lift pump when it was the high pressure pump outside the tank that was the problem. They didn't even know it was there . He had his friendly neighbourhood mechanic point that out and replace it for him.

Look forward to further progress updates on the HR L322.

    Cheers,
    Iain

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the engine upgade you are looking at is no longer available. Its from Jeremy Fearn in the UK. Was going to get mine done the same. It came with a remapped ECU & a piggy back intercooler. Removed from market as the auto couldn't handle the power.
His normal ECU remap will give you 160 kw [215 hp] & 488 Nm [360 lb/ft]. you can send him your ECU remap & return. Have a number of e-mails from him about this.

Didn't know 17" rims would fit on an L322

Good to Know about injectors & tank Thanks Andrew

ONLY 3 more SLEEPS till I pick my TD6 up.
    CAN'T WAIT

Was a problem with the instrument cluster. Dealer fitted a new one.

Bugger. no wonder they have not been returning my emails...

I'll have to make my own intercooler setup then. Not sure about the piggyback setup, mabe i'll remove the large thermo fan and install 2 slim ones so i can get a large IC in there.

17s do fit, i tried a commodore mag a while ago and it still had a few mm clearance. Steel wheels should have even more. Mt plan is to use the 200 series sunraiser rims and make up an adaptor to suit the rangie.

What is the load rating for a Commodore wheel?

Adapters are not legal - quote for NSW RTA
"The wheel must be one designed for the particular hub/axle in respect to bolt pitch circle diameter and wheel nut tapers."
    and
"The fitment of wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face and the road wheel is not permitted unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacture"

These points are listed in the section detailing: There are limits on the size of wheels that can be certified by a signatory. Which I find interesting – NSW does have a system of certifying wheel/tyre mods (QLD does not) but the limits are clearly defined

That makes sense, though I can’t see the point in sending an ECU around the world when we have BAS or Bluefin available who will supply a DIY tool. I’m leaning towards Bluefin but don’t really have that many reports either way…

Something I read ( think it was on RAVE ) has me a bit worried about removing ECU. ECU had to be "reset" by Testbook after refitting for it to work. Bloody hard nearest Testbook nearly 300km away. But others may know far more on this than me
Other options " Autologic" tune. 150 kw / 488 Nm
    J.E. engineering 162 kw / 488 Nm
DP chip 158 kw /438 Nm
or Chip-it chip ? kw / ? Nm but more than DP ?
Dont know about B.A.S. or Bluefin

Yes they are not allowed by law.....neither are beadlocks. So i will be using them for 'off road use only.

I know of bluefin owners who are happy.

Grrrrr. Injector turned up today, so i put it straight in after work. It now blows constant white smoke like its being overfueled. I am hoping that it is diesel trapped in the exhaust side of the engine due to the past jammed injector being re-circulated through the egr.

On a lighter note. The bullbar should be somewhere between perth and sydney, the tyres leave melbourne to come to sydney tomorrow, and the roofracks and other goodies are ariving sunday.

Engine's sorted, the filter (diesel cat converter) was full of diesel. Still has trouble starting, but i think the battery is RS.

I am away this week, but some parts have arrived.

The 285/70/17 km2's, Roof rails, basket, D3 OL Bullbar, and some other cool bits. Hopefully i will be home this weekend and start fitting them.

Full Length roof rails (Land rover part number CAB000040PMA)

New badges (LR part #DAG500160) under $20 IIRC.
