    That disagrees with RAVE for my 2004 model (quoted above).

    Or does it? Castrol Syntrax Longlife 75W-90 (Formerly SAF-XO 75w-90) is a GL5 synthetic.

    I rang one of my dealer contacts and was told SAF - X0 can be used in the transfer case, but when asked why Land Rover specs the Castrol Bot oil for transfer they couldn't tell me.
    Having said that though, I am still going to put the specified Castrol Bot oil in my own transfer.
