    Diesel engine miss.

Since buying my 322, the engine has had a slight miss, aswell as not starting up straight away when cold. From what i have read, it sounds like a faulty injector, but i gave the tank a clean anyway. It wasnt easy, but i highly recomend it to anyone, as it had alot of algi/water sludge down there. It is accessed through 2 holes under the rear carpet, and the pickup is in the lowest point (very bad). All up it took about 2 hours, including draining the 1/2 a tank of fuel.

I pulled my injectors out to be tested, and managed to break 2 of the little plastic T pieces on which join the injectors to the return line. I phoned around a few BMW and diesel injector places, hoping they would be a common part, and was told that these were not available seperately, and i would have to buy new injectors...... $300+ each...ummmm no.

So i phoned up nice fellow from landrover in parramatta and was told the entire rail with the hoses and 6 t pieces is part number WJP000820 and is under $100.

Unfortunately the injectors cannot be serviced, and if any are found to be faulty, they will have to be replaced anyway.

Waiting on this and my ribbon for my MID radio screen....

    Hi Andy,

Yes, had 1 recently with 1 faulty injector, interestingly the dealer had seen this happen before.

    Um, I didn't know the line had 6 T pieces .

I have a return line here in my office with 1 T piece.

    You need part # 8510041.

Do you want to see if the T piece on the line I have here is the same as the one you need?
