    No SatNav

In the process of buying L322 TD6 HSE but no factory fitted SavNat unit [ has screen ]. Can the factory unit/ BMW unit be retro fitted [ DVD drive]. What else would be needed. Is all the wiring in place. What other options are there. Would like to retain all the standard screen functions and reintergrate factory ?? gps

There a two devices needed as well as the head unit. I've read that the required harness is not there either. It is possible but absurdly expensive.

    Hi Gary,

Harlie is correct. You need the Vogue harness to retrofit the satnav...
There are threads on this on fullfatrr.com and rangerovers.net with not much joy - the overseas models tended to get the satnav as standard and the US model never got diesel.

By the way - is yours the one from Penfolds in Burwood - looked very clean.

    Thanks Guys

Not realy what I wanted to here. Would have prefered an intergrated unit.
Was quoted about $4000 for a non-factory unit to be intergrated.

Yes Archiguy it is the one from Penfold's. Hope its as good as it looks. Only major item missing was GPS

To be honest, I've not seriously looked into it – not heard of HSE being optioned with the screen and not the nav ECU.

If you can read schematics get a copy of RAVE, it’s coverage of the pre 2006 Range Rover is excellent. Since this is probably something that not many (if anyone) have looked into, unfortunately it will require some reading.
