    Angry Hazard and interior lights come on automatically when starting

    Hi all, new to the forum and glad to be a member. Have purchased a 2002 L322 HSE diesel and have the annoying intermittent problem of starting the vehicle and after a few seconds the hazard lights start to flash and interior lights come on. No warnings or faults are offered on display. If I hit the hazard button and the interior light master switch they go off. What the?? Any suggestions regarding the gremlins causing this problem and solutions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Barra

    It sounds like the security system might have an error, as what you describe is what happens when you unlock the car.
    Just a few thoughts;
    the condition of your battery ( turn auto headlights off and see if that helps) a low battery can cause all types of weird things with VCM's and ECU's ( my D2 auto gear changes got rough between 3 ^ 4 ; new battery problem gone ! )

    are the batteries in your remotes good ?

    Failing that you will have to get it hooked up to a test-book of some type if available locally.

    Thanks Laurie.

    will check battery out. Remote batteries new. Also happens when you ash the car which is weird. I reset the sunroof as it was high at the back when closed and this rectified the problem with the hazards etc for about a week. Until it was washed....
