    Harlie

I installed the Bluefin on our 2011 Discovery 4 2.7lt last week and am extremely disappointed with the restuls.

Superchip have been helpful in supplying us with 3 different files but it still does not give us any of the promies:
    Every bluefin optimisation delivers:

    • an engine that responds more eagerly to your right foot
    • smoother power delivery making town driving much easier with fewer gear changes
    • improved acceleration for safer overtaking

    For turbocharged diesel cars

    • up to 30% more torque and more power
    • fuel economy improvements

In fact the car has a dead spot at take off and when you put your foot down to accelerate it hesitates.
The cruise control wont hold is speed
It has lost top end power.

We and not happy with ours.

Has any one else had any problems with theres like this.

    Cheers Baz.

    This morning with the 3rd file installed coming to work, I notice a couple of things;

    1) The car seems to have improved power and torque

    2) The turbo lag off idle seems to be a bit better over the previous 2 files

    3) I don't think it drives as well as it did with the standard file.

So this afternoon, I will see how it goes, then put the standard file back on and see if there is as much differance as Bluefin claim.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Baz - sounds like they have supplied the wrong files - ie for a different spec car, maybe a D3 spec file (whats the diff between 2.7 D4 & D3?). I had similar experience with the TD5 several years ago (supplied by BAS), turned out to be a file for a different model ECU.

Go back to them and YELL! I know how you feel - I remember it took several weeks to get my TD5 right and at the time, all I could think was "Why bother?", but it was worth it when they got it right.

It has transformed the RR, did the 2.0tdi Golf couple weeks ago and we are wrapped with it as well (reason I went with them is the number of happy VW owners). I've not spoken with any one who has done a D4.

Hammer them!! I'm with you - If it doesn't drive as well as standard (driveability is more important than max power/torque) then it's no good, send it back with "Try again!"

Hi Baz . Sorry to here your not happy with your Bluefin. As Harlie said stick it up em. Did you get yours from Peter James ( Superchips Aus & NZ ) or through one of the dealers in Australia. I have been going to get one for my TD6, just waiting on money.

    Gary
