    Battery issues

My L322 that never gave me trouble has been nothing but trouble for my SIL,it has an air suspension fault and the transfer has selected neutral and it won't drive. Will a flat battery cause this?,the battery is the original and from doing a search a dieing battery seems to cause lots of warning faults.I've had the codes read and it is showing no faults which is causing me to look at the battery.Any idea's. Pat

Hi Pat, i would go for a good new battery as a start, these thing give some realy strange faults when the voltage gets a bit tired and take it from there. i got the transfer case neutral thing on mine, new battery sorted it. never had a problem since.

    hope you get it sorted.

There are heaps of threads on different forums about the strange problems that a half dead battery will cause - the issues you describe are among them. As Neil said - I would start with a new, good quality battery and see where that gets you. There are people out there that recommend that the battery should be changed every 3 years to avoid these sorts of faults. If you are on your original battery, I would say it would be about stuffed.

I was suffering these and a few other issues a couple of months back (hazard and interior lights coming on with ignition).. Battery was the issue, however the stealer was asking $550 to replace it! Fortunately I found somewhere more reasonable...
