    Should I buy it?

Got a bit of a itch that might only be scratched with a TD6 L322.
It is a one owner 2003 HSE with 220000km and comes with ABS brakes
    Air conditioning
    Alarm
    Alloy wheels
    Central locking
    Driver airbag
    Passenger airbag
    Power steering
    Towbar
    Which is pretty standard stuff.
I asked the owner these questions and her answers in red
1)Has the diff mod been done or diff changed. No
2)Have you had any gearbox issues or changed the gearbox. No
3)Has the inline low pressure diesel pump been changed. No
    4) Have the injectors been changed, serviced or renewed. No change that I know – everything serviced fully
5)Does the suspension work as it should, has any of it been replaced. Yes, No
6)Do all the interior electronics work as they should. Yes although there are some lines through the lcd on the radio display
7)Any body work damage or rust. No
8)Any interior damage. No – only the sunglass case does not close but just needs a spring but back I think
9)Does it have gps system fitted. No

She has also got a dealer I can talk to about the car which he rates as immaculate. Hmmm
Its 650km from me but I am going up there next week so might have a look.

Bit of a step up from my '97 300Tdi Discovery
    What do you all reckon?
    Should I go for it?

the service history will answer allot of those questions truthfully for you. Mine had had allot more done to it before I bought it than the previous two owners whom I talked to knew, with it being under warranty they didn't know that "air suspension fault" they took it in for meant two new front struts and a compressor for example.

Take it for a drive and check it out, I went through quite a few of them and decided to take the colour and trim combo I wanted as one of the more important aspects as small niggles can be fixed but changing a leather colour or paint colour can't be done for a reasonable price.

Just heard from owner that it did have something done with the front diff.
I forgot to mention it has a FSH at a RR dealer.

I wonder if the transmission oil had ever been changed . If not, from several threads on here, you may be up for lots of cash for a new/rebuilt transmission.

If the transmission changes silky smooth, then signs are good. Several I looed at were a bit rough (could feel the change) especially 1st to 2nd. 220km is more than I would like on a unserviced tran, but whats the price like...

If you want a bad luck story on the trannies on these, look no further... The one I bought test drove very well, smooth gear changes, quick to go into gear, 150KKM on the clock. It dies 2 days after I bought the car. Cost me over $5K to get it back on the road, and my issues don't seem to be over yet, but that's a story for another day...

If the front diff hasn't failed in 200KKM, then it aint going to. The failures of the front diffs was caused by a slight misalignment of the driveshaft. The fix was a different shaft with a flexible coupling on the diff end to take out any alignment issues. The ones that have lived that long would have no alignment issues.

Engines on these seem to be fairly bulletproof, but there is a member on here that has had engine issues - I hope he has them sorted by now.

    Cheers - Gav

Sounds like a resonable car. But will be dependant on price. A few too many Kms but if well looked after sould be O'k. Is the colour &trim to your liking. Take it for a test drive and see how it stacks up . Drive a few others so you have something to compare to even if you have no intention of buying or maybe a friends
