    TD6 SERVICE SCHEDULE

How often do you service yours. My service book says 20,000k. Landrover recommend 15,000k and my service centre says 10,000k. Which one is correct? Jim

Would depend a lot on driving style & conditions. Also on the quality of the oil used. Your infomation centre in the dash will countdown till the next service.

I'm anal about routine maintenance, so I never let my cars go beyond 10,000 between oil changes, and 5,000 on my bikes. I know that may be over kill, but that's just me.

The oil for these is a bit pricey if you use the recommended stuff, but it is worth it in my opinion - which would you rather, spend a couple of hundres more on oil now and again, or reduce the life span of a bloody expensive engine...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Dont let it go past 10 thousand ks!

If you want to look after it and keep it running for many years to come drop the oil and change the filter every 5 thousand k,s or less, you will be rewarded with an engine that will more than likely outlast your usage of the car (well and truly upwards of 500 thousand k's)

If anything should have frequent oil changes its a turbo diesel, the black crap in your engine oil is carbon and carbon is abrasive!
