Lower access height on a L322

    Hi all,

I need to lower the access height ONLY on a 2007 L322. I've been able to lower all heights simultaneously but this makes the ride too uncomfortable and I prefer the car to ride at the normal height. Can this be done?

I have a Faultmate MSV2 but I can't find any way of lowering only the access height values.

    Cheers
    Pat.

IIDTool does it. As far as I am aware, this product is the only device that allows changing of individual heights like your example. FaultMate can do everything else, far and above all other available systems, but Gap started with this functionality and then built the rest.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick replies. Will the EAScontrol, from the same manufacturer enable individual settings for Access, Standard and Off Road heights? This is unclear in their litrature.

The EAScontrol is cheaper than the IIDTool and since I already have the Faultmate, the extra expense is not justified if the EAScontrol can do individual heights.

    Thanks
    Pat.

    Hi Pat

You can adjust Access / Highway / Standard / Offroad height separately. As well as Front / Rear or any corner RR / LR / LF / RF.
Or Contact GAP Diagnostic here. Contact - GAP Diagnostic

I would still go for the IIDTool over the EAS Controller. As they are adding new features all the time. Does your Faultmate live in the car, my IIDTool does. I believe that the IIDToll & the Faultmate compliement each other & in future I will probably buy the Faultmate. Both are excellent produces but aimed at slightly different markets
I you like PM your email address & I can send you an older version of IIDTool user manual

    Gary

PS Patrick & Christian are great to deal with & very helpful & will answer all your Questions ( OPPS Forget STEVE )

Thanks to both Harlie and 33chinacars.
I have ordered a IIDTool from the UK as it was only about $100.00 more than the EASControl and so represented much better value. It should arrive in the next week or two.

    Cheers

    Hi Pat

Well done. I don't think you will regret it. Your IIDTool that is.

Gary, harlie: thanks for the recommendations

Unfortunately, though, the separate height adjustment possibilities are still only available for the 2002-05 L322. We'd like to implement this on the later L322 and the RRS/D3&4 as well, but we haven't gotten to it yet. Too much development work to do and too little time.

There is a new update on the way very soon which increases the functionality of the IIDTool by quite a bit including allowing CCF editing.

Pat, I sincerely hope you don't regret purchasing the IIDTool. We'd be very interested in hearing about your user experiences - especially as you already have a Faultmate. Feel free to post here in the forum too!

If you do feel that it wasn't worth your while to have purchased the IIDTool, though, please contact us and we'll work something out for you.

And we will work on making the information on the capabilities of the IIDTool vs. the EASControl more clear. The IIDTool does everything the EASControl does and the EASControl has only very limited diagnostic functionality on the EAS only. The IIDTool is a Land Rover diagnostic system whereas the EASControl should actually be considered a suspension accessory.

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

That is unfortunate as that was the major (only) reason for purchasing the IIDtool. I don't think I'll regret the purchase though. Although not as convenient as permanently dropping the access height, it is far easier to modify heights when required with the IIDtool as compared to Faultmate, which requires connection to a PC.

How long do you believe it may be until this feature is available for the 2006+ L322? I understand that the IIDtool is user firmware upgradable when new features are added which is a bonus.

    Cheers
    Pat.
