td6 losing power
Hi,my td6 hse is losing power on acceleration, seems to be fine at cruising speed or just driving steady, but plant your foot and it doesnt want to play.Did a service a while back but didnt change fuel filter.Air filter looked like it hadnt been changed for a while, also my wife loves driving it with neer empty tank. Will change fuel filter and see if that is the problem.

TD6 losing power
Having had significant fuel issues with my TD6 I encourage you to check the quality of your fuel. You never see what is coming out of the nozzle when you fill your car. I had water and cooking oil in my fuel. Significant repairs to the engine resulted. A lot of rogues out there so only fill from a truck stop that has a high turnover of fuel and use a fuel conditioner

How noisy should rear fuel pump be?Started car and pump ran for a little while and stopped.Seemed a bit noisy and ran a little rough.or seemed to, for a short time. All i have to compare it to is a td5.Will try to get new fuel filter today and see if any better.

just had the same thing with mine, it was the low pressure fuel pump and no1 injector and harness. there was a resistance in the injector which caused the connector to ark and burn out.
hope this helps as mine was giving the same symptoms

Have replaced fuel filter,no real difference.Seems to have a flat spot only when cold.Otherwise fine.

Has the TD6 crankcase filter ever been replaced ? it also could be a sticking EGR valve if still not blanked off.
