    19" Tyre choices

    Hi All,

I have a MY05 Vouge that is nearly due for tyres. It has Pirelli Scorpion Zero255/55R19 on it. I'm looking for a more all terrain tyre, I only use it 20% off road, but want something more All Terrain than what I have now. what do people suggest?

Wow, an 05 Rangie - moving up in the world Dave .

Some of the D3/D4 guys are running the General Grabbers in the size you're after:

    Hey Guru,

There aren't too many options for the 19" rims, as I'm sure you know. The biggest issue I have found with any AT tyre is lack of tread depth you get with a '55'. In my opinion, short of going to something a little less suited to the road like the Goodyear Wrangler (although still a very capable tyre), the Pirelli are probably the pick at moment.

Haha, it's a good tow vehicle for my off road buggy....

Has anyone had any experiance with Cooper LTZ Zeon tyres? The GG's are fairly noisy on road, and with 80% of my driving been on road, I want something not too loud.

I just been talking with a guy who fitted them to a discovery 4. He is very happy as he traveled up to cape york and they performed very well. He also said that they weren't noisy on his discovery. I will be buying a set early next year for my l322 I haven't heard of to many bad reports. Approx $360-380 per tyre.

Just came across this post. I have just put General Grabber tyres on my 2008 sport and so far can't fault them. I got them for $297 a tyre plus alignment and bought a set of 5.

I was going to go the Cooper option but they are at least $150 per tyre more expensive.

The GG have a very aggressive tread pattern and look a serious tyre.

I am yet to take them off road but am expecting them to provide the same versatility that the Coopers did.
