Geez Harlie. I thought you were going to show us what you had done...![]()
After an afternoon of kiting, it was decided that the Rangie needs a water tank to provide basic shower facilities. 15L should be enough.
Anyone fitted a bladder tank? Where?

If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
You would be doing well to get two showers out of 15 L. That amount of water is not much, I don't know if bladders come in that size. I slip a 100 L bladder into the foot well of the rear seats of my defender. I use it mostly for drinking and use river or other local water for showers and washing up. I got the bladder and the hose fittings from a chandler.
yep im interested in a good solution for this too.

What will determine how much you really want is ; Do you tour with the back seat down ? if so this is a viable setup if you do a lot of touring or 1 big trip !

Easy! Plenty of boating & bush camping taught us how to shower on little water. Just want to rinse off, I'm not a teenage girl washing my hair....
In 2008 with the family (mrs & 2 small kids) we ventured off-shore again in our 12m sailing Cat. Ended up sheltering at a beautiful sandy island quite a lot of miles from anywhere while it blew 40-50kns, it was over 40kn for 10 days, (even though it was forecast for 1) - don't worry it is a very nice spot and the fishing was great! By the time we sailed back in to civilization we had been out for 17 days. Total water capacity was 500L for galley washing and bathing (drinking water in separate tanks), everyone bathed every day and the girls washed hair about every 5th (we're not animals) - do the sums.... Wash off in sea and it only takes a couple litres to rinse off if you have the right nozzle. And there was just over 50L still in that tank when we sailed in.
Admittedly a Water Maker went to the top of the want list after that trip, but mainly for weight, we would leave port with a bit over 1100kg of water onboard. Add that to the 800+kg of supplies + personal belongings ect and she sailed quite sluggish for some reasonbut man we had some great holidays and adventures offshore. Planning on going back to it when the kids are older (and we can leave them behind
).
Anyway, who said two showers?
Back on track. What about under the bonnet? Would be nice to have a filler located under the bonnet (kids can fill it), not keen about other solutions I've read about with filler in the boot or under carpet or above carpet in the case of footwell bladders. I want something permanent, a bladder in the footwell isn't going to work, it has to be fitted ready to go with no notice and knocking out seating capacity is not on.
This is not for a tour, I have a camper for trips away with large water capacity. We have kids so the seats aren't coming out. This is for a quick rinse off at the beach before packing up the kite, on a Saturday arv, like yesterday - or a Thursday arv when I'm crapped off with work for that mater.

Maybe a sill tank ? or one of these behind the back seat (40ltr) and easily removable !

50t looks interesting. Have to check my fridge will still fit, but up against the back seat made out of solid material so stuff can be put against/on top is definitely worth a good look.
I would prefer something that is hidden has no change to the current layout; there is a ton of space behind the LH rear quarter panel. Would need to relocate the AMP, but it is the only thing in there in mine. Have to be able to fit a Landcruiser bladder in there surely.

Are there any that would fit in the spare wheel well?
Surely a bladder the same shape as a tire tube would fit in perfectly and be nice and low and out of the way....
If it was just me Id fill up a tyre tube, but SWMBO would complain about the rubber taste
I could put the spare on the roof rack and this would be perfect....
Ive looked and cant find one, if anyone knows of one, let me know please!
