    Fuel Gauge Says Empty ??

    Hi Guys . Well today I found out just how far I can go on an nearly empty fuel tank. Had to go to town today 32 kms. Home bowser was empty . Bugger. Nearest fuel about 30 kms. Trip meter said I could do 44kms. Well it run out / dead stop. Trip meter said I should have been able to go another 12 kms. Leason learnt. Ha ha Dont trust the trip meter.

    Anybody else tried this. Tank wasn't full nor did I take it easy. 860kms.

    RACV to the rescue. Well sort of. FIL also came with a sause bottle filled with diesel to refill fuel lines and pumps .

    Wasn't by choice that I let it get that low. Usually have a few 100 liters of diesel in the tank on the farm. Must have used the last of it in the tractor & didn'y realize how low tank was.
