    is it supposed to be this noisey

    hey guys any one in south brisbane area have an L322 they would be willing to let me sit in while they drive as I cant be sure whether Im being picky or if mine is missing some insulation... it has had panel work after a crash..

    Sorry I can't help mate, but the diesels do make a bit of noise when under power. When cruising, it is fairly quiet, not whisper quiet, but pretty good.

    its petrol lol
    but its not just the engine noise its the road noise too.... I am comparing it to my P38 and compared to that I think its noisey..... that being said its no were near as loud as any other car I have driven recently 8)

    Hi mate, im out at beaudesert but mines a diesel and on GG AT2 so its a fair bit noisier than normal but your welcome to try it.

    I just had a drive of a 4.4 BMW V8 and was surprised it was not super quiet inside after all the things I had read. Back into the P38 and I am thinking it`s pretty nice in here. Still would like the power of the L322 which unsurprisingly felt very sprightly after the P38.

    Tyre choice makes a big difference to the road noise in these cars.
    If you are on highway treads, run your hand over the top of the tread in both directions, if you feel edges slightly raised, as opposed to smooth and level, then chances are that they will make a good deal of noise at speed.

    right I have been mad busy looking into the door alingment etc and have forund a few issues which I will post up in the next few weeks (couple more to fix) but its alot !!!! quiteter now ....
