			Iphone Audio connection L322

					Hi All,
I have a 05 L322 (Touch screen with MOST) I don't have rear seat entertainment so no AUX input. There is no option on the screen for AUX like on the later model either.
I have been doing some searching online and Have found some options. The best is fitting the Audio connectivity system that Land Rover use to sell, but without the AUX option on the screen its not really a full integration, Is it possibly just a software update to get the AUX on the screen or is it a new Audio Head Unit? A lot of cash to fit just for audio.
There are some aftermarket options that fit into the MOST system but not sure how good they go. Has anyone fitted one? success?
I would be happy with just an AUX plug. Is it possible to wire one in anywhere? I believe you can wire DVD plays to the TV Tuner Module, Could I possibly just wire Audio from a AUX jack into this and set the TV to Aux and play that way? The TV is useless now there is no analogy, not that I use to use it.
The only other thought I had is some form of Bluetooth streaming Audio, but haven't found anything along those lines. ideas?

The audio connectivity module gives you an AUX input, as well as USB and iPod. Expensive though.
The ACM piggybacks the CD changer input. To use it there is a switch that is placed in the glove box that selects between the ACM and the changer. You then just select the Changer input on the touch screen to select the ACM input.
The three inputs on the ACM are automatically selected via a priority system. Highest is iPod, second is USB, last is AUX. if you have neither an iPod or USB connected, it will use the AUX input. Once you plug in a USB it takes priority and lastly, if you have an iPod connected it overrides both other inputs.
I must say though, the USB and iPod user interfaces are absolute rubbish. If you're used to being able to select tracks by title/artist/album etc you'll be very disappointed.
After paying top dollar for the ACM and being very frustrated with its interface I ended up buying a Harmon Kardon driveplay iPod controller and plugging it into the AUX input. The driveplay is long discontinued but I purchased mine off ebay. Second hand but never used. It works flawlessly and totally as expected. Alpine also have a similar system, the EZi-DAB, but which also includes a DAB+ radio as well as iPod interface! It's larger than the driveplay though and will be harder to mount nicely.
Cheers
Pat.
