Repairs now done.
One thing I did notice is that the heater control valve has 2 rubber boots on the top side of the solenoid activated needle valves (2), the rubber boots were well perished and crumbling.
This allows coolant to get up into the solenoid not a big deal short term other than it will seize them eventually.
However of more concern is the rubber flowing through the oil coolers and causing a blockage. Also the radiator.
My Auxiliary coolant pump was also knackered, not a big deal either as coolant will still flow through it.
I found a post on FFRR, a work shop quoted 750 euros to change the two drive belts on a V8 4.4L L322I did mine in less than an hour and parts were $40
