    Fuel Filter L322 V8

    Changed my fuel filter today.
Date stamp on it would seem to indicate it was an original filter.
Plenty of sediment came through into my drain bucket once I disconnected the the supply line, discolouration of the fuel pretty much lead me to believe it was strong coffee.
Now most people that own L322`s would appear to be cheapskates for all intents and purposes (or blissfully unaware), but seriously if you love your RR and you want to keep it a while take a look at things like this.
I can only assume that with the amount of sediment this filter/pressure regulator was holding, it must have been putting undue pressure on the fuel pump.
    127,000km on this one.

While I was under there with the RR at off road height I lifted her with a trolley jack another 150mm and took a good look around.

Manual refers to the hand brake cable as a serviceable item that needs changing from time to time ( I have had a lot of cars in 35 years of motoring and I aint changed a hand brake cable on one of them).
Take a look at your cables about 300-400mm inboard of the disc, there is a mount with a 20c piece sized grommet most likely like mine yours is shot and the cable has been chewed through by the metal fitting that retains the grommet with the cable running through it.

    Happy L322 ing

    Hi.
I want to change my filter too. Do you have to de pressure rise the fuel system before removing hoses.

I too love my l332 td6 and like to do much of basic servicing when it comes remote traveling.
