    Smile L322 TD-6 Gearbox operation

    Hello again
I still have a nagging problem with the gear change up and down.on my 2002 L322 TD-6
It seems to rev way to high before changing gear, in both directions.
I have replaced the battery, which on a previous thread someone thought could be the problem.
Three different mechanics have given thee different diognostics.
    One said New gearbox
    Another said Get it flushed
The last guy said it was the ECU needed to be remapped.
Does anyone know of a good Land Rover mechanic that could have a look at my vehicle ?
I would be prepared to travel anywhere in NSW.
    Cheers Paul

The same with mine. I believe this is pretty normal for the gearbox to hunt a bit. Jim

Can I ask, how high is too high? and under how much throttle load?

As an addition to my reply, I removed the egr valve and it made a hugh difference to where the box changed. It will lock up down as low as 55k/h whereas before it barely locked under 80k/h

Try Rhys at Furious Performance in Sydney - he is a member on here - Rovernova - and what he doesn't know about these boxes isn't worth knowing.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
