Good on ya disco gazza you wont regret getting the RR, I have put dual battery /LED bar light /Bluefin tune/ ecotuning ECU/upgraded radio/gps /iPod /Bluetooth/ snorkel ( thanks to Peter G for information ) you have to get a GAP ID tool fantastic you are able to do amazing changes with it and also clear faults.

Mccoey that's a generous offer & one that I would gladly take up but come Monday we are headed back to Sydney to live. It's always interesting to research a particular component failure in a Land Rover only to find that the same component is used in lots of other vehicles yet the failures are not as widely publicised( or maybe Iam just not looking for them ) I note that from MY10 an eight speed was available but some are saying it still had issues.
For me the savings on a good used L322 is so significant that I can justify spending some on repairs as required Just have see what I can find in ole Sydney town.

Declan, have i read this right, you've managed to install a snorkel on an L322? Got photos? Most impressive, would love to see.

Yeah its beautiful to drive after my disco 200tdi.
Will be getting an iid tool as soon as.Just paid $1500 to have the rego transferred over.
How is the ecotuning ecu going.
Have been wondering whether to get one or not.

I am very happy with the ecotuning it locks in the torque converter at 58km hr so less slippage and a lot less heat in the transmission, you can monitor your transmission oil temperature with your IID tool for a period of time so its good if your towing that's were the ecotuning comes in as the TC close at 58kmhr and is not general open as it is with the normal ECU, sorry lads did not take any pictures of the install of the snorkel but as I said ( if you ask Peter G nicely he did take pictures ) enjoy your RR they are a great 4x4 especially if they are use for 4 wheel driving. ( attached a couple pictures of the beast ).

Instead of opening another thread;

I have a pair of Fyrlyt's that I have on my D1. Is it possible to put them on just the rubber nudge bar or will I have to put the bolts through the bumper bar as well. The nudge bar looks pretty wonky when you move it to and fro.
As yet I haven't tried the high beam on the beast yet to see how the normal high beam is.

I made some brackets for the Fyrlyts on my 07 Vogue. I know the bumpers and grilles are a bit different but you could have a look at the pics I posted and take some inspiration.

Hi . I've got Fyrlyt's on my L322 TD6. Mounted them to my factory nudge bar. Easy & they don't move. On the underside of the top hoop I had 4 threaded spuds . These were plugged with little black rubber bungs. Remove bungs to find threads. I then cut 2 bits of 2" x 1" RHS about 2 - 2 1/2" long. 1 for each side. Lights are mounted upside down. ie swung. in each piece of RHS drill 3 holes. 1 for the light & 2 to mount to bar. The 2 holes that are for mounting to bar are drilled out on the reverse side just big enough for bolt head to pass through. I used allen head bolts. All bolt heads/ washers are inside the RHS. Once all bolted together RHS ends are filled with hard plastic ends . No bolts to be seen from the front. Not totally theft proof but blood hard to get at with out right tools. Have only had to re-tighten them twice since fitting . Not vibrations of lights . All good.
