    Brake caliper seal kit?

    Hi Guys
    *re 2004 TD6
I have warm brakes on the front left, they are a bit squealy and are quite a bit hotter than the other side, not drastic yet but definitely up.

I assume I will find a failed outer seal and rust on the piston – preventing it from fully releasing. I plan to remove the piston, clean it up and fit new seals. Plenty of practice of this with boat trailers...

    Q. has any one purchased a caliper seal kit? Where do we get them from?
I read on RRnet they are they same as X5.

    Many thanks

I would agree with your diagnosis, but there is something else you can check, it is a long shot, but it does give the same symptom's as you describe. When you last changed pads or discs did you re-grease the pivot pins ??? if they are sticky you can get one pad binding more than the other. It's a easy job, just pull back the cover, and insert wheel bearing rated grease, spread around best as you can. Then push and pull the calliper till the grease is spread along the pin.
