    Does a 2003 L322 TD6 have a DPF

Hi all. I only recently purchased my rangie and today did a basic service, oil, air..ect

I was advised that the best oil to use is the Castrol Edge and given that Super Cheap have it in their catalogue for $25 less than normal that was the way I decided to go. On The Castrol website it says that it is suitable but on reading the EMPTY oil container I noticed it says 'not suitable for vehicles with DPF' which concerns me as I thought these vehicles had one.

Should i empty the $120 worth of oil....or is it suitable?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere

Thank you! I had read mixed answers and I was worried I had just wasted $120 on oil!

Ahh aren't EGR and DPF similar if not the same process, the only difference with DPF being that it has a Particulate Filter for the exhaust gas before it is recirculated?

No DPF filters what come out the back (reduces soot), EGR feeds exhaust gas back into the engine to lower Nox emissions.
