    Here is the GE043 (I think) pump installed with an inline metal filter/screen. The rubber came off the original LR part but is now removed to have both clamps on it and the wire tucked away. I had to trim the ends of the existing hoses to fit the filter in there too, that i wasn't happy about but an original pump could go back in as there is a bit of play in the amount they can move.

    So far so good with a original filter change too. No noise coming from the unit, and a 24month warranty.

    Yes but still no fault logged on the computer.

    Poor performance is the result of inadequate fuel pressure at the sensor. The pump in the tank has enough pressure for duel delivery under normal driving conditions and the engine will only stall when "the inlet pressure difference between the inlet and the return fuel lines
    ≤ 0.5 bar".

    I saw a farmers truck with 5 filters with one high pressure pump and one low pressure and it worked fine. When my inline pump dies I will give it a proper go to see if it works with out any issues, however, going of the evidence in this discussion and in the publication with regards to a faulty / inop inline pump I would say it works, with the potential of power loss or high pressure fuel pump damage.

    Awesome information! Does this mean we can unplug the sensor to get more fuel in the rail? haha only joking
