    so the choice is..............

Hi Folks, I am thinking I know what answer I am most likely to get here but I have to ask anyway.

I am planning a work trip across the Nullabor from Sydney to Perth, 3 or 4 days in Perth and then up to Newman. From Newman to Leinster and then to Leonora, to Laverton, Laverton to Warburton, and finally Warburton to Yulara for a couple fo days rest. From Yulara I'm off to Mt Isa and then Brisbane and finally back to Sydney from there. All up, with no running around or detours, 11,729km. Looking at about 17 days total trip length. Some of the trip in hotels, some in mine camps and some in my swag beside the car wherever I stop.

So I can do this in my 2011 TDV8 Range Rover Vogue Luxury which currently has around 65,000k's on it or I can take:
    1) 2004 Holden Rodeo LX Dual Cab Diesel Auto 4x4 with suspension kit, lights, UHF, roll bar and is basically in mine spec but with power windows and few little luxuries. 178,000km
    2) 2011 Nissan D40 Dual Cab ST-x auto 4x4 with cruise, air, long range tank, suspension kit, dual battery kit, UHF, LED light bars and standard goodies. 130,000km
    3) 2013 Holden Colorado dual cab diesel auto, top of the range with standard suspension, long range tank, cruise control, genuine GPS/media centre, hard lid.

Interested to hear waht you think! A trip to You Tube will help you make up your mind!

The Vogue (please)...we all want to know how it goes!

I guess you'd want 40-60 litres extra fuel in jerry's - maybe only 40l given you will get good economy and 100litres in main tank and your route seems to have good fuel access? Need to be careful of dirty fuel out there too. And ofcourse tyres - LTZ's on 19/20's I'd suggest for extra load rating etc.

Would be heck of a drive!
