    2004 L322 VS 2012 L322

Can anyone tell me why I prefer to drive my wife's 2004 4.4 Petrol Vogue L322 150k over my 2012 4.4 Diesel Vogue 60k . The 04 just seems to be more plush andsoft on the road where the 12 just seemsso much harsher, Sorely 19 inch vs 20 inch wheels can't make such a difference ?
I also noticed thatthe 04 has lots more adjustment in the seats. Don't get me wrong the 12 is verynice but the 04 just has that something special about the ride comfort .

Does the 04 still have the original shocks? After 150K they could still be OK or could be totally worn out.

Shocks are good I had Graham Cooper have a look at them, It still rides nice and handles well , its just so much nicer to drive.

They tell me that the seats are a little wider in the early L322's. This would help with the comfort especially if your bum is a little on the large size like mine.

The tdv8 L322 I just bought has a noticeably firmer ride than a 2004 HSE I test drove. I've read similar comments about the D4 being firmer than the D3. I'd say there was a decision to make the air suspension so there is less body roll.

The lower profile tyres on the TDV8 and update models will also give a firmer ride.

Mine has 19" wheels, but yes even 18" v 19" will probably make a difference.
