Looking for an update on the L322 key topic.
My 2005 L322 key has failed in the remote section and the servicing dealer lost the second key years ago. So I am stuck .....
I can get replacement keys from UK for about $50 see eBay item number:121306776191
- a bit cheaper by going direct to their website - LAND RANGE ROVER 3 BUTTON L322 VOGUE HSE REMOTE KEY 433MHZ
You can communicate direct with Kris on zmk.group@gmail.com and get ex VAT etc prices unlike eBay
I have a few of the 2008 onwards flip keys that I imported from China complete with remotes and transponders. These do not have a replaceable battery like the earlier key but have a chargeable Li-Ion cell that is charged from the inductive circuit around the key socket in the panel.
Has anyone had success using the later L322 flip key (2008) in the older L322 model (2005)?
What are the requirements to make this work. Am I correct to assume that the remote has similar functionality and frequency in the 2 key systems? and likewise for the transponder chip?
A local Auto Locksmith claims he will have no difficulty in cutting the blade and programming both the transponder chip and remote to make the new key work.
Looking forward to your assistance.
I believe it can be done - there is a large thread on this on the FFRR site. I have yet to find a locksmith that can program the transponder chips. Had plenty say they can until they look a bit further into it, but a lot has changed in the last 18 months since I last tried, so hopefully things have changed.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
