Hey mate - I have heard of a few injectors failing, but not the harness. If you are going to pull your injectors and they have been leaking around the copper washer, they are an absolute **** to get out. I spent over 30 minutes with a slide hammer and a fitting I borrowed from a diesel pump and injector specialist to get one out.
Then you need to think about the crap that falls into the cylinder when it's removed. A member here bent a piston skirt because of a bit of soot that fell into the cylinder. He had blown and vacuumed it out, but obviously didn't get everything. Because of this, I pulled the head off to clean the cylinders out properly - and that's a pretty big job in itself, and not very cheap either when you add up the cost of gaskets and bolts required but not half as much work as pulling the bloody sump off to pop a piston out.
Hopefully just a new loom will have it sorted. From the video, it just looks like a dodgy connection.
