    Britpart automatic transmission filter and sump

    Whats the quality like of the britpart metal sump and filter kit for the ZF6HP26?
    Is it up to quality standards?

    If quality is important to you, then spend a few extra dollars and buy a genuine filter for it.

    Haha Blknight you lost me with that link. Bacicat are you saying use the britpart metal sump with an original filter? Very occasionally britpart makes something that's actually ok. Wasn't sure if this was the case with this part?     That may be the case, but I've never had anything from them that is close to what I would call satisfactory. My point was would you trust your transmission to be protected by a part from a manufacturer like this? I wouldn't personally...

    What transmission sump cover and filter do you recommend? Isn't the Landrover one plastic and a lot harder to change?

    Have you tried your local Ford dealer ? Just check the part number but they should carry them more cheaply than the others.
