either a poor connection or a break in the loom?

have you pulled every plug from the motor to the ECU? clean and reseat. maybe even give the pins a slight adjustment.

I had a VW golf that would shut down with an injector fault. Dealer said all injectors need to be replaced at just ove 1000 EACH. I replaced one, with in no time it stopped again with the same fault (injector 2 open) engine just shuts down... cleaned the injector harness and it went ok for a while but returned. I then painstakingly removed every plug in the engine bay, cleaning adjusting the pins to ensure there are all tight, and reseating. problem gone - I've sold the car but I know who has it, 5 yrs and 80000km later no issues.

    All fixed properly

It was just the plug a bit lose. Many thanks to the guys at M.R automotive at Redcliffe. They cleared the faults and found the lose plug very quickly.

    So good

what a pleasant drive back to Sydney no ding ding or failsafe mode. The rangy has never felt better. Economy got down to 8.4 litres per 100 ks on the Dash computer. These really are a great touring vehicle when everything is working.
