So hunting like that (in the diesel TD6 anyway) suggests that the lockup clutch pressure is low and cannot hold the pressure to keep it engaged.
Im not to sure on the possible failures of the zf box in yours but thats where I would start. possible rebuild is in order unfortunately

Thanks very much for the reply chaybra.

Is this something that could possibly be fixed with a service of the transmission?.

I'm a pretty hands on guy, and if possible I'd like to try and troubleshoot myself. If indeed I need a transmission rebuild I'm happy to get that done, but realistically if it can be fixed another way, or if a rebuild isn't required then I'd rather save the money.

Can anyone else lend any insight into what might be causing this issue?

    Many thanks guys.

    Dave

    Hi Guys,

I think i might be better off closing this thread and opening another with a more appropriate title.

I dont think the title of the thread is giving the issue the right exposure.

I hope this is OK with everyone.

    Dave
