Gas strut pressures?
Hi Gents.
Anyone know the pressure that our gas struts should have?
My bonnet struts are not quite strong enough to hold it up everytime now - sometimes it stays and sometimes it very slowly drops (either way it gets a stick before I put my head in there). The tailgate stays up but now needs to be pushed the last couple inches. So both set are definitely down after 11 years.
I have access to a regas tube. By design, it's easy to add pressure to struts BUT it is difficult to let gas out if you go too high.
So question is - any ideas on what the pressures should be? Or do I trial and error it?
