My late night installation isn't complete yet for the same reason but I'm favouring the ash tray cubby hole with the ash tray insert removed. It appears that the aperture is wide enough to fit the switch so a (black) plastic square glued to the top next to the power socket should suffice. A hole will need to be drilled for the wires to have them exit at floor level under the driver's seat. Being out of forward sight the spot might not be the best for quick access but might have to do.
I'm having to use extra low with access mode to get the vehicle to roughly the same height as the D4's access + low so will mount the mode button next to the rotary switch. It appears that this height puts the RRV on the bump-stops too.
