    LED lighting strips for tailgate

Hi folks, I bought a metre of LED lighting strip today and wired it into the tailgate lamps (as Chris in Brissie did) but it's still pretty gutless (although the attached photo makes it look brighter than it really is.)

Is anybody aware of some properly gutsy LED light strips that really throw out some light? This was just a cheapie from Auto Barn, but it was all they had.

I have a Korr LED strip under my upper tailgate. It's very good. I think I have a pic here on the forum somewhere. I'll try to find it.

I did the same as that with a cheap 5m roll from ebay (I'm scared to think what you paid from autobarn) and to gain extra light I also ran mine across the top of the roof lining at the very back.
The problem i had with where you have put it on the tailgate is that it can be easily struck by stuff you put in the boot and damaged very easily! mine no longer works there and i will be relocating it to be on the glass itself.

Mmmm, I hadn't thought of that, but then, it's not a biggie if it gets knocked about. It was the princely sum of $12:-)
