    Snorkel help

Hi l know this has been mention before, but can a 2005-2009 v8 tdi with A air intate grille on side guard snorkel fit onto the l322 rangie with the long grille original. Also is what most people are looking for or the rangie air intake is most suitable for most touring traveling.

All snorkels (Very few) that are on L322's are custom.

Snorkel is definely the best for touring, its the next on my list as im going thru air filters like no tomorrow

The shark gill vents on the side are for engine bay ventilation AFAIK.

The air filter inlet on the tdv8 is in the inner guard on the passenger side, similar to the P38 RR. Some P38 RR owners have custom made a snorkel.

Some td6 owners have fitted a D3 snorkel with some custom fittings and modifications as the filter inlet is on the driver sided.

The biggest issue with fitting a RAI to an early TD6 is the air cleaner itself. It isn't sealed inside a drum, or anything - it just sits under the engine cover so although you can put a D3 unit on the outside, how do you effectively keep the system airtight? There is a cool air duct running to the engine cover, but the filter just draws air from all sides into it. The only way I can think is to use a different air cleaner and then plumb that straight to the air intake where the base of the factory air cleaner sits, but finding room in the engine bay has proved beyond me.
