    Digital speedo readout 2012 L322

Guys one of the forum members (maybe Graeme?) recently posted here about enabling the digital speedo readout in the centre of the TFT screen. I can't find that post, but I inquired with the local dealer (Barbagallo Land Rover) this morning about it and asked them to enable it.
The bad news: they tell me there were two iterations of that 'virtual' instrument panel in the 2012 year, and mine is the earlier iteration which can't be altered.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Having that large amount of un-used blank space between the speedo and the tacho has always annoyed me, especially since every other new car on the planet seems to have this feature enabled, even on cheap Korean chook chasers.

Greg, that was me. I used the GAP IID too to alter the CCF and hey presto. I am surprised there are different dashes so t speak. Why don't you email GAP and see if they know??

Sounds more Luke they don't know how to go it. I've seen this more than once, but rather than admit they don't know, they just say it can't be done.

Had a dealer tell me I couldn't turn off the globe check on the headlights in mine (2003 model) - took it around to a mates and he did it in 10 minutes...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Chris, your one is a much later model - built 9 days later! Mines much later again - by another 6 days...

I'm still waiting for BBS to fix their s/w so that I can start changing CCF settings without temporarily bricking the ecm. However I wont be enabling digital speed display as I spent way too much time watching it on the D4., mostly because cruise control allowed excessive over-speed.

Not that I'm a defender of the dealer, but it may very well be a case that they can't do it. The diagnostic gear provided to dealers is actually quite restricted, where the aftermarket kits like BBS, IID, NavCoder ect which have reverse engineered what's going on can edit individual bites on the ROM, making it possible to change anything including turning the ECM into a brick....

Yes that makes sense Harlie, I was thinking along the same lines. Still seems dumb though for LRA not to have the digital readout in the centre. It's not as if it actually costs them anything.

I've enabled it on mine but find its pretty small.
It's in the bottom of the speedo.
I wish it was in the centre between speedo and tachometer in the large empty section.
Then it could have been nice and big.
