    Happy Birthday "Tire"

I bought my 2012 Range Rover TDV8 Luxury for my birthday in October 2012. Yesterday it had its 100,000 km service and passed with flying colours. I had them check everything including the air-con compressor, and suspension compressor.......not one single problem. The service guy at Northern Beaches Land Rover even said to me that my car was immaculate and the best example of it's type they currently have on their service books! I'm chuffed.
My car has done most of its km's running around the various mining areas of Australia including a trip to WA. It has done Sydney - Brisbane that many times I cannot possibly remember them all and it has travelled to every capital city with the exclusions of Darwin and Hobart. It frequently plays short distance commuter roles with trips of no more than 3 km's in between doing its impression of a mobile lounge-room on 1000 km in one stint trips.
The car still feels tight and new and it is the only car I have ever owned that has stopped my eye wandering. I was a serial X5 buyer before this one but I found I had to buy a new one every 12 months or I got critically bored with the one I owned at the time. I cannot remember any particular one of the many that I owned......they were good, but just anonymous cars. I owned a RR Sport V6 diesel and I flogged it to death over an 12 month period but the damn thing used to keep me awake at night with the sound of things falling off it in the driveway!

Anyway, I am so happy with my Range Rover that I have postponed even the slightest thought of replacing it until the middle of next year at the earliest.
    End of report.

oh! I nearly forgot............Merry Xmas and a happy and safe New Year to all!

No Chris, if I do it, and it is a big if, it will absolutely not be until after the trip.

Yep, it is a work truck, recreational toy, luxury vehicle, long distance cruiser, shop hopper, beach baby, kid taxi, bunnings hauler, Xmas tree collector, furniture van, and I have yet to find anything that does those jobs better! It is never off the road for longer than 12 hours........Km's rack up pretty quick.

When I had the x5's, I would start to panic as they approached 100k.........I am very relaxed about this one and it is not something that makes me think of replacing it.

Mine (2009) just passed the 280000km mark and not considering a change for another 12 mths at about 330km.
It too is a work truck and play toy but drags about 2T of trailer roughly 80% of the time. Still feels tight and have no hesitations in taking it anywhere at the drop of a hat (as I do).

I thought that might be AOR on the front and the style looked similar.

I like their vans but can't possibly justify the cost considering how little we've used our old Coromal to which I fitted decent off-road suspension.
