    Spare Parts

    Hi Folks,

I'm accumulating a few spares here so if I do have an issue, the wait time isn't so long. Bit of guess work really, hit and miss but also stuff that could stop the car.

I have things like filters/serpentine belt/alternator on the way, looking at brake stuff and a set of bushes.

    However, was looking at this:

Repair kit for the air compressor. Anyone tried using one and is it worth it?

Jerry, what year model is your L322? Early ones use a different compressor.

Depending on year, you might need Landrover Discovery 2 Range Rover L322 Air Suspension Compressor Pump Repair Kit | eBay

    Ron,

2007 so it uses the Hitachi compressor or so I believe. At 9 years old I'm thinking one of these kits maybe a good idea.

I have had my compressor apart once due to failure. only a very small plastic check valve had a hole in it, somehow found a spare...no idea where it came from, but thats another story.

I Have a entire spare kit waiting for the day...again, its easy and simple design so if it does go, give it a crack. just physically label the hoses before you pull them off, its easy to put one in the wrong spot and troubleshooting is a nightmare.

Thanks and that is exactly what I thought. Have one ready.

Happy to hear it is straight forward. If you were in a remote location and the pump failed, is it possible to overhaul in the field, from your experience?

GOE have an emergency inflation kit if the EAS compressor fails. It does require another compressor from memory.
