    Roof rack mounts

    Hi,
Finally finished making and mounting the roof rack.
Used 12mm thick steel plate and 5mm plate for top. It was bolted down using u bolts and a single bolt at the rear end.
You can see in the pictures. This project about $70 to make. Got drawing and measurement to make proper instructions later.

Is that an ARB rack that you've fitted?

I considered a D2 spare wheel holder for my roof rack mounted spare but there's no way I could lift the spare up and over. I'm using a Y-shaped tiedown strap.

    Hi p38
I got the rack of gumtree in hobart from d2 owner who hot the proper rhino rack he was after.
Yes l used the disco spare wheel carrier and added a stud to the wheel stud pattern. And used hose clamps to the rack, keep it simple.
