A lot of my driving is in slow traffic which can mean sitting at a stand still in traffic for up to and over 10 minutes.
When I do stop I always put the car in "N" take my foot off the brake but do NOT engage the hand brake.
I have noticed that after sometime, maybe 5-10 minutes, the front lowers itself slightly and enough that you can feel it if you are not watching the front of the car.
My question, is this normal?

Do you use the controls to go up/down rarely or regularly.
I found that mine was taking its time to go up, so I bought a kit, put it in and that fixed my problem.

No I don't use the hi or low setting on a regular basis.
I'm not really talking about the time taken for the system to raise, all seems okay there.
What I am saying is the EAS seems to adjust itself if sitting idle for a few minutes in traffic.

Mine does the same Jerry, now that you mention it. I use the access height button regularly, but I've always been curious as to why the height adjusts by itself from time to time.
Same here, but only a couple of times that I noticed. I air up and down at least once a week when I give it a wipe over with quick detailer or wash it. It's easier to do the roof when it's lower.

Yep, ours does the same and the height adjustment gets a workout because SWMBO uses the access level every time she drives it (it's her car so that's a lot at times). The only issue I've found in the years of doing this is the compressor has worn out quickly (almost new when I bought the car - sounds like someone hammering in the back now).
It's about the only thing I need to fix before selling it.

I use access height almost every time I stop. I figure the more you use something, the better it is. I'm having an argument about this with SWMBO...
On the full fat forum I was told early on that continued use would lead to premature failure of the airbags. I pointed out that the airbags move all the time anyway and there was little response to this. The 4 years of operating the access height every stop seems to only have led to a noisy compressor and that's understandable but I've not seen anything else go wrong because of this.

You'll loose that argument because the compressor will be asked to do more work so will wear out sooner. However changing the height, whether it be lower or higher, can be very beneficial in some circumstances so the shortened compressor life is an acceptable consequence. I raise mine 30mm for the 6 kms between my house and the sealed road for improved comfort and increased body life from not bashing the bump-stops and regularly lower it 20mm below access and occasionally to the bump-stops for my wife.
